Best Time to Visit Havelock Island

November to April: The finest season. The northeast winds keep the Andaman Sea calm, visibility for diving and snorkelling is at its peak, all beaches are swimmable, and the island is at its most beautiful in the clear tropical light. December and January are peak season book accommodation and ferries well in advance. March and April are excellent for diving (peak visibility) with fewer crowds than December–January.

May to early June: A brief good window before the southwest monsoon arrives. Sea conditions are still manageable and the island is less crowded.

Monsoon (June to September): The southwest monsoon brings rough seas, heavy rain, and frequent ferry cancellations. Diving and snorkelling are largely suspended. Havelock's beaches remain beautiful in the monsoon atmosphere but the outdoor activities are significantly curtailed. Budget travellers find excellent prices during this period.
