1. Chitkul Village- The Last Inhabited Village
Chitkul is the last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibet border and one of the most beautiful villages in Himachal Pradesh. By Air- The nearest airport is Shimla Airport (approx 220 km) or Kullu Airport (approx 250 km). From there, you can hire a private taxi or take a bus to Reckong Peo or Sangla.
By Train- The nearest broad-gauge railway station is Kalka or Chandigarh. From there, travel by road or take the scenic toy train up to Shimla and then proceed to Kinnaur.
By Road- The most preferred way to reach Kinnaur. It is well connected from Shimla (approx 230–250 km) via NH-5. The journey passes through beautiful mountains, apple orchards, and the famous Wangtoo Bridge. Private cabs and taxis are highly recommended due to the winding roads.
