Experience the enchanting Eastern Himalayas without the hassle of travel planning with our Sikkim Tour Package by Flight, a seamless 6-night, 7-day journey that takes you from your home city to the heart of Sikkim's most treasured landscapes. This thoughtfully designed package includes round-trip flights to Bagdogra, the gateway to Sikkim, followed by a carefully paced overland exploration of Gangtok, the serene Tsomgo Lake, the historic Nathula Pass, and the breathtaking valleys of North Sikkim.

Your adventure begins the moment you board your flight, knowing that every detail from airport transfers to mountain permits, from comfortable accommodations to expert local drivers has been arranged by Vayable Trip. Upon landing at Bagdogra, the dramatic backdrop of the Himalayas greets you, and your private vehicle whisks you toward Gangtok through winding roads that climb past tea gardens, river gorges, and villages clinging to hillsides.

The days that follow unfold like chapters in a Himalayan storybook. You will stand beside the sacred waters of Tsomgo Lake, its surface reflecting snow peaks in perfect symmetry. You will cross the legendary Nathula Pass, where the India-China border stands at over 14,000 feet, and feel the weight of history in the thin mountain air. In North Sikkim, the Valley of Flowers at Yumthang and the village of Lachung reveal landscapes so pristine they seem untouched by time. Throughout, your pace remains unhurried, with ample time for rest, photography, and the simple pleasure of gazing at mountains that shift color with every passing cloud.

This package is ideal for travelers who value convenience and comfort, for families seeking a hassle-free vacation, for couples on a romantic mountain getaway, and for anyone who dreams of the Himalayas but prefers not to navigate the complexities of permits, road conditions, and high-altitude logistics alone. Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Flight to Bagdogra & Transfer to Gangtok

Arrival Day
Your journey begins with your flight from your home city to Bagdogra Airport, the primary aerial gateway to Sikkim. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your Vayable Trip representative who will assist with luggage and escort you to your private vehicle. The four-and-a-half-hour drive to Gangtok winds through the Teesta river valley, ascending gradually from the plains of West Bengal into the Eastern Himalayas. You will cross the Rangpo border check-post into Sikkim, where your permits are verified, and continue through dense forests and terraced hillsides. By late afternoon, you will check into your comfortable hotel in Gangtok. The evening is yours to rest after your flight, perhaps taking a gentle stroll along MG Marg to sample local street food or simply admiring the mountain sunset from your hotel balcony. Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 2 - Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir Excursion

After a relaxed breakfast, you will set out for one of Sikkim's most iconic destinations Tsomgo Lake, located approximately forty kilometers from Gangtok at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The drive climbs steeply through forests of oak and pine, past army checkpoints, and into a landscape where the air grows thin and the peaks draw near. From Tsomgo Lake, the road continues to Baba Mandir, a unique shrine dedicated to Harbhajan Singh, an Indian army soldier who is believed to protect the troops stationed in these high mountains. If permits and road conditions allow, you may continue to Nathula Pass at 14,140 feet, the historic trade route between India and Tibet, where border posts stand within sight of each other and the wind carries whispers of ancient caravans. Return to Gangtok by late afternoon, with the evening free to explore the city's markets, visit the Enchey Monastery, or simply rest. Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 3 - Gangtok to Lachung & the Valley of Flowers

Following an early breakfast and check-out, you will embark on the legendary drive to Lachung in North Sikkim. This restricted zone requires special permits. The road climbs through the Teesta gorge, past the Seven Sisters Waterfall and the confluence at Chungthang, where Guru Padmasambhava is believed to have blessed the land. Lunch will be taken at a local eatery along the route. By late afternoon, you will reach Lachung, a village of traditional Lepcha homes and apple orchards perched at 8,600 feet. Check into your cozy mountain lodge and spend the evening exploring the village or resting by the heater as the temperature drops. Dinner and overnight stay in Lachung. Overnight: Lachung

Day 4 - Yumthang Valley & Return to Gangtok

Rise early for a full day excursion to Yumthang Valley, the famed Valley of Flowers at nearly 12,000 feet. If visiting in spring, you will witness rhododendrons carpeting the valley in impossible colors. Year-round, the alpine meadows, grazing yaks, and snow-capped backdrop create a landscape of raw grandeur. Visit the hot springs and breathe the thin, pure air before returning to Lachung for lunch. By early afternoon, begin the return drive to Gangtok, arriving by evening. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed dinner after the day's mountain adventures. Overnight: Gangtok

Day 5 - Gangtok Local Sightseeing & Leisure

This day is intentionally kept flexible for recovery and exploration at your own pace. After breakfast, you may choose to visit the Rumtek Monastery, one of the most significant seats of Tibetan Buddhism outside Tibet, with its golden stupa and ancient manuscripts. Alternatively, explore the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, the Do-Drul Chorten stupa, or the Tashi View Point for panoramic mountain vistas. The afternoon is free for shopping along MG Marg, where you can find Tibetan carpets, Sikkimese tea, handmade paper, and traditional handicrafts. Evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Gangtok. Overnight: Gangtok

Day 6 - Gangtok to Pelling & Kanchenjunga Views

After breakfast and check-out, you will drive to Pelling in West Sikkim, a journey of approximately five hours that crosses Rangpo and descends through the Teesta valley before climbing again toward the west. Pelling sits at 7,200 feet with arguably the finest views of Kanchenjunga in all of Sikkim. Upon arrival and check-in, the late afternoon offers your first glimpse of the world's third-highest peak as the setting sun paints it gold. You may visit the Pemayangtse Monastery or simply rest and absorb the mountain peace. Dinner and overnight stay in Pelling. Overnight: Pelling

Day 7 - Pelling Morning & Flight Departure

Your final Himalayan morning begins with a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a short walk to a nearby viewpoint for a last sunrise over Kanchenjunga. After checking out, you will drive to Bagdogra Airport, approximately six hours away, with comfort stops for refreshments and final photographs.
