Top Tourist Attractions to Explore in Rajasthan Tour Packages

1. Jaipur- The Pink City

Jaipur is where most Rajasthan journeys begin and with good reason. Founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and painted terracotta pink in 1876 to welcome the Prince of Wales, the city is one of India's most visually coherent and architecturally stunning destinations. The old walled city is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and within its boundaries you'll find Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, the City Palace complex, and a network of bazaars selling everything from semi-precious stones to hand-block-printed textiles. Jaipur anchors the famous Golden Triangle (Delhi–Agra–Jaipur) but is far richer and more layered than a three-day stopover allows.

Most Jaipur tour packages give you the same three forts and a shopping stop on Mall Road. We build your Jaipur itinerary around what you actually want — a sunrise elephant ride at Amer Fort before the crowds arrive, a private haveli dinner with Rajasthani folk performance, a kite-flying session with locals on the rooftop of the old city, or a half-day cooking class in a restored merchant's home. Jaipur is the natural entry or exit point for a longer customised Rajasthan circuit with Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Jaisalmer.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (cool, ideal for sightseeing) · January (Jaipur Literature Festival, Kite Festival) · avoid April to June (extreme heat)

Places to Visit- Amer Fort · Hawa Mahal · City Palace · Jantar Mantar · Nahargarh Fort · Jal Mahal · Albert Hall Museum · Birla Mandir · Chand Baori (day trip)

What to Eat- Dal Baati Churma (the signature Rajasthani meal), Pyaaz Kachori (onion-stuffed fried bread), Ghewar (festival sweet), Laal Maas (fiery red mutton curry), Masala Chai from the old city's street stalls

Top Things to Do in Jaipur:

  • Amer Fort (Amber Fort)-  ride a jeep up the cobbled ramp at sunrise, before tour groups arrive
  • Hawa Mahal- best photographed from the café rooftops across the street at golden hour
  • Jantar Mantar- UNESCO-listed astronomical observatory with 19 instruments, still functional
  • City Palace Museum- royal family's ancestral home, still partly occupied by the royal family
  • Nahargarh Fort at sunset-panoramic view of the entire Pink City spread below
  • Shopping in Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar- gemstones, lac bangles, block-print textiles, mojri shoes

2. Udaipur- City of Lakes

Udaipur is consistently ranked among the most romantic cities in the world, and a single evening on the ghats of Lake Pichola watching the Lake Palace appear to float on the water explains why. Built by Maharana Udai Singh II in 1559, the city grew around a series of interconnected lakes fed by the Aravalli Hills, creating a landscape that is startlingly blue and green compared to the arid desert towns further north. The City Palace — a 400-year accumulation of palaces, courtyards, and pavilions built by successive Maharanas — is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan, and navigating it takes an entire day. Udaipur is the most popular destination for Rajasthan honeymoon packages and couples, but its galleries, havelis, and markets reward every kind of traveller.

Udaipur moves slowly, and that's the point. Our customised Udaipur packages build in time to actually experience the city rather than check off monuments. A boat ride to Jagmandir Island in the early morning. Dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking City Palace as the palace lights come on. A day trip to Kumbhalgarh, the fort with the world's second-longest wall and the Ranakpur Jain temples. For honeymooners, we arrange private heritage dinners, lake-facing suite upgrades, and cooking experiences with local families. For families, we add the Vintage Car Museum and puppet-making workshops. Every itinerary is built around your group.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (best weather, festivals) · August to September (monsoon lush green hills and full lakes, fewer crowds) · avoid May to June (extreme heat)

Places to Visit- City Palace · Lake Pichola · Jag Mandir · Saheliyon ki Bari · Fateh Sagar Lake · Jagdish Temple · Vintage Car Museum · Sajjangarh (Monsoon Palace)

What to Eat- Dal Baati Churma, Ker Sangri (wild berry and bean pickle), Daal Kachori, Mawa Kachori (sweet), Rajasthani Thali, Haldi ki Sabzi, Malpua (sweet pancake)

Top Things to Do in Udaipur:

  • Boat ride on Lake Pichola at sunset -views of City Palace, Lake Palace, and Jagmandir

  • Bagore-ki-Haveli cultural show- evening Rajasthani folk dance and puppet performance on the lake ghats
  • Shilpgram Crafts Village live demonstrations by artisans from across Rajasthan and Gujarat

3. Jodhpur- The Blue City

Jodhpur's old city is painted the blue of the sky it sits under — a tradition started by the Brahmin caste to mark their homes, which spread until entire neighbourhoods turned indigo. Above it all, the Mehrangarh Fort rises 125 metres from a sheer rocky outcrop, one of India's most dramatic and best-preserved fortifications. The second-largest city in Rajasthan, Jodhpur divides neatly into two worlds: the old blue city around the fort, with its narrow lanes, spice markets, and craftspeople's workshops; and the modern city below, with excellent restaurants, rooftop bars, and the sprawling Umaid Bhawan Palace part royal residence, part luxury hotel, part museum. It is a city of extraordinary contrasts and photographic intensity.

Jodhpur is where Rajasthan's craft heritage is most alive. Our Jodhpur itineraries include a guided walk through the clock tower market with a local guide who can show you the antique dealers, the metal workers, and the best places to eat that no tourist map mentions. Mehrangarh Fort deserves a full half-day minimum; the audio guide (included in our packages) narrates the fort's history in vivid detail, and the museum inside is the finest in Rajasthan. We pair Jodhpur with Jaisalmer (3 hours west) and Ranakpur (2 hours south) for perfectly paced longer circuits.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (ideal conditions) · October (Jodhpur RIFF music festival one of India's finest world music events)

Places to Visit- Mehrangarh Fort · Jaswant Thada · Umaid Bhawan Palace · Sardar Market · Mandore Gardens · Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park · Toorji Ka Jhalra (stepwell)

What to Eat- Makhaniya Lassi (saffron and cardamom lassi, a Jodhpur speciality), Mirchi Bada (chilli fritters), Mawa Kachori, Pyaaz Kachori, Laal Maas, Rajasthani Thal

Top Things to Do in Jodhpur:

  • Mehrangarh Fort- spend a full morning with the audio guide, visit the museum and the fort's rooftop café
  • Blue city walking tour- navigate the narrow lanes of Navchokiya neighbourhood with a local guide
  •  Jaswant Thada- white marble cenotaph built in 1899, beautiful at golden hour
  •  Clock Tower market (Sardar Market)- spices, textiles, blue pottery, and the best Makhaniya Lassi in Rajasthan
  • Day trip to Osian- 65 km north, ancient temple complex and working sand dunes for a camel ride
  •  Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum -one of the world's last great palace building projects (1929–1943)

4. Jaisalmer- The Golden City

Jaisalmer is the kind of place that feels like it was lifted from a fairy tale and set down in the middle of the Thar Desert. The golden sandstone fort rising from the flat desert floor known as Sonar Quila, or the Golden Fort is one of the world's few living forts, with over 3,000 people still residing inside its walls. Built in 1156 CE, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the heart of an extraordinary desert city that grew rich from the caravan trade between India and Central Asia. The Sam Sand Dunes, 42 kilometres from the city, offer the quintessential Rajasthan experience: a camel ride at sunset, dinner under the stars, and folk music that carries across the desert silence.

Jaisalmer is the destination that defines Rajasthan for most first-time visitors, and we make sure every component of the experience is done right. A morning inside the fort before the tourist rush. An afternoon in the havelis Patwon ki Haveli's six interconnected mansions are among the most intricate examples of Rajput architecture anywhere. An evening camel ride to the dunes followed by a private desert camp dinner, not the crowded resort-style camps. Our Jaisalmer packages are completely customisable whether you want one night in the desert or a week-long Rajasthan circuit ending at Jaisalmer.

Best Time to Visit- November to February (ideal desert temperatures) · February (Desert Festival camel races, turban-tying competitions, and folk performances)

Places to Visit- Jaisalmer Fort (Sonar Quila) · Sam Sand Dunes · Patwon ki Haveli · Salim Singh ki Haveli · Gadisar Lake · Kuldhara Village · Desert National Park

What to Eat- Ker Sangri, Dal Baati Churma, Bajre ki Roti with Lahsun Chutney, Camel milk products at the dunes, Rajasthani Thali at Natraj Restaurant (Jaisalmer institution), Ghotua Ladoo

Top Things to Do in Jaisalmer:

  • Jaisalmer Fort -walk the ramparts at dawn before shops open, visit Jain temples inside the fort walls
  • Sam Sand Dunes camel safari- ride at sunset, stay overnight in a heritage desert camp
  •  Patwon ki Haveli- the largest and most elaborate haveli complex in Jaisalmer, built 1800–1860

  •  Kuldhara  abandoned 13th-century village, haunting and perfectly preserved, 18 km from Jaisalmer
  • Thar Desert jeep safari- explore the desert beyond the dunes with a local guide

5. Ranthambore- Tiger Country

Ranthambore is India's most celebrated tiger reserve a 1,334-square-kilometre jungle where Bengal tigers have been sighted against the extraordinary backdrop of a 10th-century fort perched on a cliff above the forest floor. Declared a national park in 1980 and a Project Tiger reserve in 1973, Ranthambore has one of India's highest tiger densities and is frequently cited as the best place in the world to see Bengal tigers in the wild, owing to its terrain of open scrub forest and lakes that forces wildlife into daylight visibility. For wildlife photography enthusiasts, it is a destination unto itself. For families with children, it is the most memorable single day of any Rajasthan trip.

Tiger safaris at Ranthambore require advance booking and zone allocation both of which we handle for all our guests as part of the package. Our Ranthambore packages include morning and evening safari slots (morning gives better sighting probability), accommodation in lodges at different price points from budget to luxury heritage, and a visit to Ranthambore Fort itself a UNESCO World Heritage Site with temples still active within its walls. Ranthambore fits naturally into a Rajasthan circuit as a 2-night stop between Jaipur (3 hours west) and Agra (3.5 hours north).

Best Time to Visit- October to June (park open) · November to April (best tiger sightings, vegetation thins and tigers visit lakes) · Park closed July to September (monsoon)

Places to Visit- Ranthambore National Park · Ranthambore Fort · Padam Lake · Malik Talao · Jogi Mahal · Sawai Madhopur town

What to Eat- Rajasthani Thali at Sawai Madhopur's local restaurants, Bajre ki Roti, Laal Maas, Dal Baati Churma, Churma Ladoo, Ghewar

Top Things to Do in Ranthambore:

  • Morning jeep or canter safari- Book Zone 1–5 for the highest tiger sighting probability
  •  Evening safari different zones and lighting, excellent for leopard, sloth bear, and bird sightings
  • Ranthambore Fort - 10th-century Rajput fort within the national park, temples active inside
  • Padam Lake and Malik Talao- the park's lakes are gathering points for tigers at dawn and dusk
  •  Bird watching- 320+ species recorded, including painted storks, crested serpent eagles, and kingfishers
  • Village walk around Sawai Madhopur town, local craft shopping and Rajasthani street food

6. Pushkar- Sacred Lake and Desert Town

Pushkar occupies a singular place in Indian religious geography: it is home to the only Brahma temple in India the creator god worshipped in fewer than a dozen temples across the entire subcontinent. The sacred lake around which the town has grown is believed to have appeared when Brahma's lotus fell to earth, and pilgrims have been bathing in its ghats for over two thousand years. Pushkar is also famous globally for the Pushkar Camel Fair held in November during Kartik Purnima one of the world's largest livestock fairs, where over 50,000 camels, horses, and cattle are traded alongside folk music, competitions, and a travelling city of tents. Outside fair season, Pushkar is a slow, atmospheric town of temples, ghats, Israeli cafés, and desert sunsets.

Pushkar is the destination in Rajasthan where spiritual culture and backpacker ease coexist most naturally. Our Pushkar packages are particularly popular as a 1–2 night addition to Jaipur (2.5 hours) and Jodhpur (4 hours) circuits. For travellers visiting during the November Camel Fair, we arrange accommodation months in advance — tent and hotel options sell out by August. For non-fair visits, we build in time at the ghats at sunrise, the Brahma Temple visit, a camel ride into the surrounding desert hills, and the evening aarti ceremony that transforms the lakefront into a river of marigolds and oil lamps.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (ideal weather) · November (Camel Fair — book 3–4 months in advance) · avoid April to June (very hot)

Places to Visit- Brahma Temple · Pushkar Lake · Savitri Temple · Varaha Temple · Rose Garden · Pushkar Fair Ground · Naga Pahar

What to Eat- Malpua (Pushkar's speciality sweet — fried pancake with rabri), Aloo Tikki, Fresh fruit juices, Pancakes and Israeli food on Main Bazaar (popular cafe street), Rajasthani Thali

Top Things to Do in Pushkar:

  • Pushkar Camel Fair (Kartik Purnima, Nov)- camel races, folk performances, and the world's most photogenic livestock market
  • Brahma Temple-  the only Brahma temple in India, most significant at sunrise and sunset aarti
  • Pushkar Lake ghats- sunrise and evening aarti ceremonies, 52 ghats circling the sacred lake
  •  Savitri Temple trek- 1.5 km uphill trek at sunset, panoramic view of Pushkar and the surrounding desert
  •  Camel ride into the Pushkar desert- 1–2 hour rides around the rocky desert hills outside town
  •  Shopping on the Main Bazaar- tie-dye fabrics, silver jewellery, Rajasthani handicrafts, and organic skincare

7. Bikaner- Forts, Camels, and Desert Crafts

Bikaner is the Rajasthan city that tourism largely bypasses on its way between Jodhpur and Jaisalmer which is precisely what makes it so rewarding for those who stop. Founded in 1488 by Rao Bika (a son of Jodhpur's founder), the city grew into a wealthy caravan trading post whose opulence is preserved in the extraordinary Junagarh Fort one of the few major Rajput forts never captured in battle, with chambers decorated in Chinese and European styles alongside traditional Rajput craftsmanship. Bikaner is also India's camel breeding capital: the National Research Centre on Camel sits outside the city, and the Bikaner Camel Festival in January is one of Rajasthan's most colourful events.

Bikaner rewards the traveller who wants less-trodden Rajasthan. Junagarh Fort's interiors rival Jodhpur's Mehrangarh in richness but see a fraction of the visitors. The rat temple at Karni Mata (20 km from Bikaner) is one of India's most singular and fascinating religious experiences. The Bikaneri Bhujia and sweets industry. Bikaner is the origin of the global Haldiram's brand makes it a must-stop for food-focused travellers. Our Bikaner packages typically run 1–2 nights as part of a Rajasthan circuit, and we often pair it with Jaisalmer (3.5 hours) for a complete western Rajasthan experience.

Best Time to Visit- November to February (ideal) · January (Bikaner Camel Festival — 2 days of camel races, folk dance, and desert culture)

Places to Visit- Junagarh Fort · Lalgarh Palace · Karni Mata Temple (Deshnoke) · Ganga Singh Museum · Bhandasar Jain Temple · National Research Centre on Came

8. Bundi- Rajasthan's Forgotten Jewel

Bundi is what Udaipur might have looked like a century ago a walled town of step wells, painted havelis, and a dramatic hilltop palace, largely free of the tourist infrastructure that has transformed Rajasthan's more famous cities. The Taragarh Fort looms above the town, connected by a steep path to the Garh Palace whose Chitrashala murals painted between the 16th and 19th centuries are considered some of the finest examples of Rajput miniature painting tradition at architectural scale. Rudyard Kipling wrote parts of Kim in Bundi, describing it as a place of extraordinary character. It remains that today. The town's 50-plus step wells (baolis) are the finest collection in Rajasthan.

Bundi is for the Rajasthan traveller who has either done the circuit once and wants to go deeper, or who wants to skip the crowds entirely. Our Bundi packages are typically 1–2 nights as part of a route between Udaipur (5 hours), Chittorgarh (3 hours), and Jaipur (4 hours). The town is best explored on foot with a local guide who knows where the painted havelis are hidden behind unmarked doorways, which step well has the best mirror reflections at dawn, and which family-run guesthouse has the best view of the palace lit up at night. Bundi is a destination for photographers, historians, and independent travellers seeking authentic Rajasthan.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (ideal weather) · March (Bundi Utsav festival, cultural performances, step well illuminations)

Places to Visit- Garh Palace · Taragarh Fort · Raniji ki Baoli · Nagar Sagar Kund · Nawal Sagar Lake · Sukh Mahal · Chaurasi Khambon ki Chhatri

  •  Taragarh Fort the Water Fort above the town, dramatic hilltop views and ancient water cisterns
  • Step well (baoli) trail- Raniji ki Baoli is the most elaborate, Nagar Sagar Kund the most photogenic

  • Nawal Sagar Lake- the town's central lake, reflecting the city and palace at dawn
  •  Day trip to Rameshwar Ghat -ancient temple complex 6 km from Bundi, largely unvisited

9. Chittorgarh- Capital of Rajput Valour

Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort in Asia — a 700-acre citadel spread across a 180-metre plateau, containing seven palaces, six temples, four memorials, and 84 water bodies within its walls. It was the capital of the Sisodia Rajput clan for centuries, and its history is written in extraordinary acts of resistance: three sieges by successive Delhi Sultanate and Mughal emperors, each met with the Rajput practice of jauhar collective self-immolation by women facing conquest. The stories of Rani Padmini and Mirabai are inseparable from the stones of Chittorgarh, and standing on the fort's ramparts overlooking the plains, both the grandeur and the tragedy of Rajput history become tangible.

Chittorgarh is a full-day destination you need 5–6 hours to do justice to the fort, and most tour packages rush through it in two. Our itineraries build in time to walk the full circuit from Rana Kumbha Palace to the Vijay Stambha (Tower of Victory) to the edge of the plateau where the views extend to the Aravallis. We include a local guide who can bring the stories to life — without context, the fort is impressive but opaque. Chittorgarh connects naturally with Udaipur (115 km, 2 hours) and Bundi (153 km, 3 hours) on a heritage-focused Rajasthan circuit.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (walking comfortable, all fort areas accessible) · February (Jauhar Mela commemoration event at the fort)

Places to Visit- Chittorgarh Fort · Vijay Stambha · Kirti Stambha · Rani Padmini Palace · Meera Temple · Rana Kumbha Palace · Fateh Prakash Palace Museum · Gaumukh Reservoir

What to Eat- Dal Baati Churma, Rajasthani Thali, Bajre ki Roti with Lehsun Chutney, Makkai ki Roti, Churma Ladoo, Dahi Vada

Top Things to Do in Chittorgarh:

  • Vijay Stambha (Tower of Victory) - 37-metre carved sandstone tower built by Rana Kumbha in 1448, climb to the top for panoramic views
  •  Rani Padmini's Palace, the water-side palace where the legend of Padmini unfolds, surrounded by a lotus pond
  • Kirti Stambha (Tower of Fame)  22-metre Jain tower, older than the Vijay Stambha and equally elaborate
  • Meera Temple where the poet-saint Mirabai worshipped, still an active temple and place of pilgrimage
  • Rana Kumbha Palace ruins  the oldest palace in the fort complex, where Meera Bai is said to have lived
  •  Fort walls at sunset walk the ramparts for views across the plains and the best photography light

10. Mount Abu- Rajasthan's Only Hill Station

At 1,722 metres in the southern Aravalli Range, Mount Abu is Rajasthan's only hill station and its climate anomaly cool, forested, and green in a state otherwise defined by desert. The Nakki Lake at its centre is surrounded by gardens, viewpoints, and the kind of gentle mountain-town calm that feels like a different country from Jaipur or Jaisalmer. But Mount Abu's real claim to cultural significance is the Dilwara Jain Temples built between the 11th and 13th centuries in white marble of such breathtaking intricacy that they rank among the finest examples of Jain architecture anywhere in the world. The marble screens are so fine they appear to be lacework rather than stone.

Mount Abu works as a refreshing end point to a Rajasthan circuit; the cooler air after the desert cities feels like a reward. It is also an ideal destination for families with mixed age groups or senior travellers who want Rajasthan's cultural richness without the heat and physical demands of the desert cities. Our Mount Abu packages include the Dilwara Temples (no photography inside visit early morning when the light is best), a sunset at Guru Shikhar (the highest peak in the Aravallis), and a day trip to the ancient Achalgarh Fort. It connects easily with Udaipur (165 km, 3 hours) and serves as a natural exit point towards Gujarat.

Best Time to Visit- October to March (ideal hill station weather) · December (Mount Abu Winter Festival  folk dance, fireworks, boat races) · Monsoon (July–September) also beautiful — lush green but some roads slippery

Places to Visit- Dilwara Jain Temples · Nakki Lake · Guru Shikhar · Sunset Point · Achalgarh Fort · Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary · Toad Rock

What to Eat- Rajasthani Thali, Ker Sangri, Dal Baati Churma, Rabri Malpua, Fresh corn (in monsoon season), Local street food around Nakki Lake including Kachori and Samosa
