Naggar Castle: Kullu Valley's Most Iconic Heritage Landmark

Naggar Castle is approximately 500 years old, with the original structure attributed to the early 16th century. It was built as the royal palace of the Kullu Kingdom and served as the kingdom's capital for nearly two centuries.

Naggar is approximately 23 km south of Manali on the left bank of the Beas River. The drive takes about 45–60 minutes by road. Many travellers on the Manali–Kullu route make Naggar Castle a half-day excursion from Manali.
