As you ascend, enjoy the changing landscape, from the mighty Brahmaputra River to lush green hills wrapped in mist. On the way, you can stop for tea and light refreshments. Arrive in Shillong, the charming capital of Meghalaya, also known as the “Scotland of the East” due to its colonial-era buildings, pine forests, and pleasant climate. Check into your hotel and relax after your journey. In the evening, take a gentle stroll around Police Bazaar or enjoy a welcome dinner featuring authentic Khasi cuisine. Overnight in Shillong

After a relaxed breakfast, dive into the rich cultural tapestry of Meghalaya. Start your day with a visit to the Don Bosco Museum (Centre for Indigenous Cultures), one of Asia’s finest tribal museums. Spread across seven floors, it beautifully showcases the traditional artifacts, costumes, musical instruments, and lifestyles of various Northeast Indian tribes. This is an excellent introduction to the diverse indigenous cultures you will experience throughout the tour. Visit the elegant All Saints Cathedral to admire its colonial architecture. In the afternoon, drive to Elephant Falls, a picturesque multi-tiered waterfall nestled amidst pine groves, a perfect spot for leisurely photography and peaceful walks. Day 6 - Kaziranga to Jorhat – Ferry to Majuli Island

Drive to Jorhat (approx. 3–4 hours) and take a relaxing ferry ride across the Brahmaputra River to Majuli, the world’s largest river island. Check into your eco-resort or tribal homestay. Evening at leisure to soak in the island’s peaceful vibe. Overnight in Majuli
