For travellers based in Hyderabad, Kerala is close enough to feel like an easy long weekend extension and far enough to feel like a proper holiday which is exactly why our Kerala tour packages from Hyderabad have become one of the most requested itineraries at Vayable Trip. With direct flights connecting Hyderabad to Kochi in under two hours, you can be sipping filter coffee by the Fort Kochi waterfront on the very same morning you left home.

Kerala Tour Packages from Hyderabad is designed around that convenience. It begins in Kochi with its Chinese fishing nets, spice markets, and colonial architecture, then heads into the hills at Munnar, where tea estates stretch to the horizon, and the temperature drops into cardigan territory almost overnight. From Munnar, the route continues to Thekkady, home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, where a boat safari on Periyar Lake offers a real chance of spotting wild elephants, and a guided spice-plantation walk explains how cardamom, pepper, and vanilla actually grow. The trip closes, as any good Kerala itinerary should, with a night on a private houseboat drifting through Alleppey's backwaters.

What makes this route particularly well-suited to Hyderabad travellers is the pacing, it's built for people who have a working week to get back to, so nothing feels rushed but nothing wastes a day either. Hotels are chosen for comfort and location rather than just star ratings, drives between destinations are kept realistic, and the flight timings are planned so you land back in Hyderabad in the evening, ready for the week ahead rather than needing another day to recover.

Whether you're planning a family holiday, a trip with friends, or a honeymoon, our Kerala tour packages from Hyderabad can be tailored around your preferred travel month, hotel category, and number of travellers. Vayable Trip's planning team takes care of flights, transfers, hotel bookings, and the houseboat reservation, so the only thing you need to pack is a light jacket for Munnar mornings.

Travel Itinerary

Day 1 - Hyderabad to Kochi, Fort Kochi Sightseeing

Arrival Day
Catch a morning flight from Hyderabad to Kochi the journey takes just under two hours, so you'll land with most of the day still ahead of you. Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your Fort Kochi hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the old town on foot: the Chinese fishing nets, Jew Town and its antique shops, the Dutch Palace, and St. Francis Church are all within easy walking distance of each other. In the evening, settle in for a Kathakali performance, a fitting first taste of Kerala's culture.

Day 2 - Kochi to Munnar

After an early breakfast, set off for Munnar the drive takes around four to five hours and climbs steadily through the Western Ghats. You'll pass waterfalls right by the roadside and stop at a spice garden en route to see cardamom and pepper growing up close. Arrive in Munnar by late afternoon, check into your hotel surrounded by tea gardens, and spend the evening at leisure a quiet walk through the estate as the mist rolls in is the best way to shake off the travel.

Day 3 - Munnar Sightseeing

A full day dedicated to Munnar's landmarks the Tata Tea Museum, Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and Kundala Lake, with plenty of stops for photos and short walks through the tea estates. If your group is up for it, we can also add on Top Station or the Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr) as an optional early-morning add-on before the day's main sightseeing begins.

Day 4 - Munnar to Thekkady

Drive from Munnar to Thekkady, about three to four hours through more spice-growing country. Once you check in, head out on a guided spice-plantation tour, where you'll walk through cardamom, clove, coffee, and vanilla plantations and get a proper sense of why this region is called the spice capital of India. In the evening, we recommend a Kalaripayattu martial arts show or a traditional Kerala massage session both are easy to arrange locally and make for a relaxed end to the day.

Day 5 - Periyar Boat Safari & Drive to Alleppey

Start with an early-morning boat safari on Periyar Lake inside the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary this is genuinely one of the better wildlife-viewing opportunities in Kerala, with regular sightings of wild elephants, bison, and a wide range of birdlife along the shoreline. After the safari and breakfast, begin the drive to Alleppey, roughly four hours away. By evening, board your private houseboat and set off on your first backwater cruise as the sun goes down over the canals dinner is served fresh on board.

Day 6 - Alleppey Backwaters to Kochi

Wake up on the water and spend the morning cruising further through Alleppey's narrow canals, passing paddy fields and riverside villages, before disembarking around late morning. Transfer back to Kochi, about two hours away, where the rest of the day is free for shopping, an Ayurvedic spa session, or simply relaxing at the hotel before your flight home the next day.

Day 7 - Kochi to Hyderabad Departure

After breakfast, transfer to Kochi airport for your flight back to Hyderabad, landing home with a week's worth of Kerala tucked into just seven days.
