Let us talk about the high altitude realities of North Sikkim. You are looking at a 5 Nights 6 Days trip covering Gangtok, Lachen, and Lachung. The air gets thin up there, and the roads demand absolute respect. We start the journey, leaving the busy streets of Gangtok behind. You travel through deep valleys to reach Lachen. Lachen feels like a forgotten frontier town where the cold bites deep into your bones.

The next morning starts before sunrise because you are heading to Gurudongmar Lake. At nearly 17800 feet above sea level, the wind howls across the frozen or semi-frozen surface. The lake remains completely undisturbed by the modern world. You will feel the absolute isolation of the Tibetan plateau right here.

After surviving the altitude, we move towards Lachung. This village serves as your base camp for the valley of flowers. Yumthang Valley always has a wild, mountain charm, even when it's not spring. You walk through rhododendron preserves and pine woods that are very far from city lines.

The road continues further up to Zero Point. At 15300 feet, the road literally ends, and you stand surrounded by snow-clad peaks. The oxygen is scarce. The views make every rough patch of the journey entirely worth the effort. This specific route tests your endurance physically and mentally.

You return to Gangtok with dust on your footwear and memories of destinations that are typically only seen in publications. We have organized the logistics to alleviate your concerns regarding military permits. You devote more time to contemplating the Himalayas' immense size. Your endurance is put to the test throughout the entire cycle, yet it leaves you in astonishment.
