Day 1 - Arrival in Srinagar – Yatra Preparation

Day 2 - Srinagar – Pahalgam/Baltal – Yatra Base Camp

Today marks the beginning of the pilgrimage journey. Travel from Srinagar towards the designated Yatra base area, depending on the route assigned in your permit. Pahalgam provides a scenic approach through Kashmir’s mountain landscapes, while Baltal offers access to the shorter but more demanding route. Complete the necessary access formalities and settle into the available accommodation or camp arrangements. Keep the evening relaxed and prepare mentally and physically for the next day’s pilgrimage.

Day 3 - Holy Cave Darshan – Return to Base

The most significant day of the pilgrimage begins early as you proceed towards the sacred Amarnath Cave using the route specified on your Yatra permit. The journey involves challenging Himalayan terrain, so maintain a steady pace and follow instructions from the authorities. Upon reaching the Holy Cave, take time for darshan and prayer before beginning the return journey. Ponies or palkis may be available subject to official arrangements and notified rates. For the 2026 Yatra, helicopter services are not available on the Pahalgam and Baltal axes.

Day 4 - Base Camp – Srinagar

After completing the sacred pilgrimage, begin your return journey towards Srinagar. Enjoy the changing scenery as the high-altitude landscape gradually gives way to Kashmir’s greener valleys and settlements. On reaching Srinagar, check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day resting after the demanding Yatra. Travellers who still have energy can enjoy a relaxed evening around Srinagar, while those who prefer a quieter schedule can simply unwind at the hotel.

Day 5 - Srinagar – Departure

Your spiritual Kashmir journey concludes today. Depending on your departure schedule, enjoy a relaxed morning in Srinagar before your transfer to the airport or designated drop point. This final day allows you to leave without rushing after the physically demanding pilgrimage.
